As an individual who has been diagnosed with a bipolar disorder, I have lived the journey from illness to recovery. While I recognise that everyone's journey is different, I believe that the my personal insights, as well as my professional, and academic background will be helpful in developing an integrative approach that suits you.

  • Talk therapy will be the initial foundation of our process. I also use a variety of tools that were imparted to me through my education and experience. While I have not reached the high level of training and supervision required to be certified as a therapist in modalities beyond drama therapy, I am nonetheless able to integrate their perspectives and interventions in to our sessions.

  • I graduated from Concordia University in 2021. My Master's Degree in Creative Arts Therapies focused on Drama Therapy, the Concordia Creative Art Therapies Department did afford me the opportunity to learn from experienced, art, music, dance, and play therapists. This inspired me to seek out literature on the neuropsychology of art/play.

  • I also work with individuals in the Vancouver Downtown Eastside who are living with addiction and housing insecurity. Through this work, I have developed a familiarity with the responses, both internal and external, one can have to such circumstances.

I did my MA in creative arts therapies, with a focus on drama therapy. I have experience in using martial arts and role playing games as a therapeutic tool for youth with learning disabilities and am excited to offer these tools to a wider population. I have also developed an appreciation and familiarity with behavioral therapy tools and practices.
